A long time ago, approximetely 3000 years B.C. , an iron asteroid crashed into the earth, on today’s Polish territory. It exploded in the air and broke into many pieces. The biggest of them caused creation of at least 8 impact craters. The first iron meteorite – 77,5 kg - was discovered in Morasko Forest in 1914 while digging trenches by soldiers. Later on, in the years 1936, 1956, 1992 and 2004 more massive specimens of Morasko meteorite were found.
